Just install a tool which handles such files, such as HashCheck, which integrates into the Windows Shell and therefore can be used directly from Saladin.
A file manager is a file manager. It's purpose is to integrate nicely with the operating system and other applications - that's at least my opinion. You can disagree and use such program which suits your needs.
